What do eating disorder experiences mean to bisexual people?
How to take partAbout the study
We hope to learn more about how bisexual people experience eating disorders. This research may help therapists and healthcare providers to provide better, more sensitive support.
What will it involve?
If you’re interested in participating, I will send you more information about the study, including the interview questions. We can then arrange a quick phone call so that you can ask any questions and we can confirm your suitability. If we agree to proceed, you’ll be sent a consent form and asked for some demographic information.
Participation involves being interviewed once online (using Microsoft Teams) by me as the lead researcher. Before your interview starts, I will talk you through the process again: I will explain what will happen, and you’ll have another opportunity to ask questions. We will then have 45-60 minutes to discuss your experiences (using the interview guide you'll have seen before).
The interview is about your understanding of your experience of an eating disorder as a bisexual person - there are no right or wrong answers. If there are any aspects of these experiences that you decide you do not want to talk about, that is fine.
