Study of shame memories in young adults
How to take partAbout the study
We are running this study to find out more about shame memories in
people with and without experiences of childhood trauma such as abuse and neglect. Understanding more about such memories and emotions could help us improve psychological treatments working on these memories.
What will it involve?
You will be invited to complete a series of questionnaires online about emotions and mental health. The survey includes questions about
experiences of potentially stressful events which may be upsetting. You will also be asked to recall two childhood memories where you felt shame and fear (but not of another person), and to answer a few questions about each memory.
