Depression diagnosis in Black Christians
How to take partAbout the study
Receiving a diagnosis of a mental health condition can have a significant impact on individual's life. However, this impact is under-researched particularly for individuals who identify as Black Christians living in the UK and have a diagnosis of depression.
The study aims to understand the experiences of individuals by exploring their experiences of receiving a depression diagnosis from their GP and how they make sense of depressive symptoms/diagnosis.
What will it involve?
A 1 hour interview online (Microsoft Teams) or in-person at the University of Surrey.
