Communication of benefits and harms related to medical intervention: an online randomised controlled trial
How to take partAbout the study
We want to find out how people understand information about treatments.
Our results will help patients and doctors talk about which treatment to choose.
It's important to have current and reliable information to take an informed choice. Our study will encourage patients to be more involved in deciding on a treatment.
What will it involve?
You will be randomly assigned to one of three ways to communicate information on treatments.
You will see some information about treatments, then you'll be asked to make a choice and let us know how confident you feel about it.
All the questions are in an online form that takes around 20 minutes to complete.
