Investigating the cognitive processes underlying self-harm
About the study
The iMAGine study aims to find out what motivates young people to keep self-harming. If we know more about the psychological processes motivating self-harm, we can develop better interventions to help people stop.
What will it involve?
Participation will involve completing an online questionnaire and telephone call to assess suitability for the study, and then a visit to Hammersmith Hospital (White City, London) where you will complete some questionnaires and tasks on the computer.

Rachel Rodrigues is a PhD Student within the Centre for Psychiatry, Imperial College London, supervised by Dr Martina Di Simplicio and Professor Anne Lingford-Hughes. Her doctoral research investigates the cognitive processes underlying self-harm behaviour in young people.
